Fleece Robes and Flannel Lounge Pants

I am soooooo excited!  I was one of the crazy people out shopping early this morning.  I spent quite awhile hitting the deals at JoAnn Fabrics.  Out of the interest of several people, I have gotten several pieces of fleece to make into kids robes.  Robes are made in sizes 6-14 ($35) and come in 3 boy choices and 3 girl choices.  I also got new flannel pieces.  I'll be making them into flannel lounge pants for kids in sizes 3-14.  (sz 3-7 = $15 and 8-14=$18)  Some of the flannel and fleece will be made into some infant car seat covers but I won't get to those yet as i have a whole lot of other things to make.  I can't wait to start sewing!  And my kids are loving the looks of the new material.  I'm afraid that they will claim some of the fleece as their own!
BTW, I love it when I go to the store and spend $198 and save $465!

After the show

Well, the craft show wasn't the greatest.  I was fortunate, though, to make back my table fee and cover the cost of the supplies for the items I sold.  But that was just about it.  Well, I can't complain.  I went to it knowing it was my first show, that the show was a small one, and I needed to chalk it up to experience.  I handed out some cards and met a few nice ladies there.  I also got a lot of progress in the little hat I was knitting up for my baby boy! ;-)
No other shows are booked in the immediate future.  I'm keeping my eye out for any that are being advertised in the local paper.  There are some fee-based sites that list info on large craft/art shows but I don't think I would make the best use out of the sites yet.  I'm way too busy to go all out on craft shows and this selling biz.  Too many kiddies to take care of and busy with my upcoming gymnastics season that I'm taking my kids I teach to!  That's for another blog...

Heading to the craft show

Today is my first craft show!  I am excited to see how it will turn out!
